There's something special about Sydney.
Sydney is easily one of the most beautiful cities I the world, there's no question about that. Harbour. Beaches. Dramatic coast line. But the CBD itself is nothing short of gorgeous, with plenty of parks, waterfront views a gorgeous mix of stunning old sandstone buildings with new modern architecture.
When Spencer and William (who got engaged in Sydney while they were here for William's work) said they wanted to take their engagement photos in the city, we were spoiled for choice. We ended up choosing Hyde Park, with its lush greenery, bright gardens and beautiful views.

We headed out on a Sunday evening, assuming we'd find Hyde Park about as quiet as it would ever be. Shooting in a public place with people passing by certainly isn't for every one, but Spencer and William nailed it. They were so in love and content in each other's company, looking at the photos you'd think we had the park all to ourselves.
Is a busy location right for you?
If you're considering a popular or busy location for your engagement photos, but worried about the crowds, I'd encourage you to give it a go. You can always plan for a less busy evening, or if you're up for it - venture out at sunrise when you're likely to have it all to yourselves.
